Along with bringing you all the new characters, SwiftKey has finally fixed some persistent syncing problems.
If you’re a fan of SwiftKey, you won’t have to forgo all of those slick new emojis that are now a part of Android Nougat.
In an update, SwiftKey has added the Nougat emojis into the predictive keyboard, along with a fix for the nagging syncing issues that have plagued the service in recent weeks. Along with the additional choices for spicing up your texts, you can also modify the skin tone of the various emojis.
SwiftKey was kind enough to post an official changelog as to what’s new:
The changes are hitting the stable channel of SwiftKey, which you can grab from the Play Store. If you want to live on the wild side, SwiftKey also offers a beta and an alpha keyboard that uses neural networks to try and get smarter about predictions.
Why this matters: Emojis are a big deal for those who use them regularly in conversation. Even though Nougat is only on Nexus phones for now, those users tend to be the most particular about making sure they have access to everything offered in the latest OS.
